Chapter 2

The first day of lessons were a drag. Sitting through 6 lessons throughout the day with no one giving any attention to the new girl. Don't get me wrong, I don't crave attention or anything like that but on anyone's first day at a new school, they'd want at least one person to talk to them (someone other than teachers).

I tried to talk to a few people but they just looked at me as if I was from another planet. And that was it.

Mum thought the opposite of course. Ever since she announced that the school had accepted me she'd been so cheerful and optimistic about it. It's like she's never been a new student before; well maybe she hasn't.
"Shloun kan awal youm 7abeebti?" she had asked me as soon as I got home.
"Il7mdila tamam." I showed no emotion whatsoever in my voice or my face.
"Shfeech Sara?"
I thought for a second before replying, "Madrisa. First day sucked. Didn't make any friends bs I did get homework. Yay."
"Saroon… 7abeebti, ana mit2akda ina bacher you will meet some lovely girls and you will make friends inshala. Bitshofeen."
"Ee, binshoof"
I kissed my mother on her forehead and went up to my room to start on my homework. I didn't want to get into trouble after only the first day of school.

The walls of my room were painted dark red, a relaxing colour that I chose when I was 13. Up to then I had muffin wallpapers which I'd had since I was a child. My mum only let me remove them and paint my walls 2 years ago. I never knew why but it could have been a lesson to teach me to think about something like that before deciding on doing anything so that I wouldn't regret it but it seemed a bit too much since I chose it when I was 4 or 5. My bed is in the corner of my room with two windows on the wall on either side of the corner. Most people would find it difficult to sleep in the morning but it looks beautiful between 6 and 10 am. Sunlight shines through my window and wakes me up. It's peaceful and relaxing. I have glow-in-the-dark stars and moons on my ceiling. I might seem too old for them but I like them. I sometimes like to fantasise about being and astronaut and going into space, discovering stars, galaxies, atoms, anything that's existence hasn't even crossed a human's mind before. In case you haven't noticed I'm a dreamer, and just like what John Lenon said, 'you may say I'm a Dreamer, but I'm not the only one.' Parallel to my bed is my cupboard. Also another dream of mine is to have a walk-in closet. And opposite my window is a desk where I do my homework (when I do my homework).

Halfway through doing my homework I got a call. My closest friend from my old school.
"Janaaaaaa!!" I screamed into the phone.
"Saraaaaaaa!" she just couldn't help but to scream back.
Sara and I were close but we weren't best friends. I hung out with a huge group of girls then, including Sara. We all spent a lot of time together but I never really had a best friend, I'm not sure why though.
"Shlounich?"
"Zaina. Shlounich oo shloun madristich ilydeeda?"
"It's good." I don't know why I lied to her, but I never really trusted anyone before so it's not like it's anything new.
"Tabeen ni6la3 youm il5amees?"
"Madri, ashouf. If I'm free, then we will. Inzain, I have to go. I didn't finish my homework."
"Okay,yala bye."

Eventually I finished my homework and soon after that I had to go to sleep.

Another day to survive through. Another day of school to face. I was now looking forward to school even less than I was yesterday. Preparing for school and doing everything I had to do right until the first bell wrung was slow. I'm dreading school. When I left the car all I wanted to do was run away. I'd have more fun roaming around in the streets than going to that place with people who don't want to talk to me. But unfortunately I had to go.

No one talked to me in the morning or during the first lesson, just as I thought; but during the second lesson, things started to change.

I had chemistry and we had an experiment. We had had our first lesson yesterday and the teacher wanted us to already start with experiments. We had to work in pairs and of course the teacher just had to chose pairs.
"Yasmeen, go work with the new girl. What's your name?" Mr John asked me.
"Sara, sir"
"Yasmeen, work with Sara"
A tall girl with long light brown wavy hair walked up to me.
"Hi Sara, I'm Yasmeen" she said with the biggest smile on her face. She seemed like a cheerful person.
"Hi I'm Sara" I replied with a shy smile.
"You're new, right? Which school did you used be in?"
"XXX, it was okay. I'm not really sure how I feel about this school yet mostly cause I'm still settling in and I haven't met a lot of people yet."
"Well you've met me now!" still with that huge smile on her face.
"Girls! Stop chit-chatting and get on with the experiment!" Mr John shouted at us.
"Well I hope you know what you're doing because I certainly don't" she whispered, still with a smile on her face.

The bell for break wrung and I actually wasn't dreading break more than the lessons. I was hoping Yasmeen wouldn't leave me and might introduce me, but I wasn't too hopeful in case I was let down. Fortunately for me, I wasn't.
"Farah, Lulu! Ta3alaw!" Yasmeen called out to them.
They shuffled over to us.
"Haaaaaa? Shtabeen?" a girl, a bit taller than Yasmeen with brown eyes and brown wavy hair, walked towards us.
"Meet Sara. She's new here. She came from XXX"
"Ohh, my brother goes there! Which grade were you in last year?" the other girl asked me. She was shorter than Yasmeen and the other girl, the shortest one out of all of us. She has sandy blond(A/N just clearing up, sandy blond hair is brownish blond. Some girls have brown hair but looks blond at times and in the sun) and light brown eyes.
I just stared at her, unsure of how to reply.
"Ohh.. Right…" she said once she realised what she had asked and smacked herself lightly on her forehead.
Yasmeen and the other girl burst out laughing.
"Lulu ya '3abiya" Yasmeen forced out in between breathes.
'Lulu' slightly blushed.
"Anyway," Lulu told me, "I'm Lulu, and she's Farah."
"Sara's my lab partner for the rest of the year. She actually understands chemistry!" Yasmeen explained.
"Hahah, good. Yasmeen needs someone like that." Farah said.
"Heeey! Siktay Farah, you're not a genius you know. Anyway Sara's more fun than you guys"
"Haha, thanks Yasmeen."
"We were planning on getting together on Friday, want to come? Unless you have other plans of course." Lulu asked.
"No, I don't have any plans. I'd love to join you guys" I couldn't help but smile.
"Great! What do you have next?" Farah asked.
"Hmm.." I got out my schedule and checked, "biology."
"Wai3, one science is enough for a day" Lulu said.
"I also have biology! We have it together!" Farah smiled at me.
"Aw.." I was cut of by the bell. Time to go to my next lesson with Farah. I guess my mum was right, I would meet nice girls and make friends.

Chapter 1

My whole life I've been in the same school. I was comfortable there, I had friends there and no one really cared enough to cause any drama. My grades were average which satisfied me but my mother always thought ahead. I just finished my first year in high school and my mum's already thinking about which university I might go to. I still have a few years left so I'm not going to strain myself thinking about that yet.

I literally don't know anyone in that school. No friends, no mutual friends, no relatives, nothing. I'm not sure I've even heard of that school until my mum mentioned it last year. Their uniform is horrible, navy blue skirts and a white shirt, might not sound bad but trust me it looks worse than it sounds.

After I got ready I just couldn't take my eyes off the mirror. The uniform itself was displeasing, but now on a petrified student it just encouraged negativity. The ride on the way to school was a blur, I was hardly aware of anything that was going on and looking back at it, it's as if I flew to school.
"Bye 7abeebte. Deray balich 3ala nafsich," but what I heard wasn't my mum's soft tone, instead it was twisted. I turned to face my mother, she had a smirk on her face, which she usually didn't wear. Something seemed off.
"Bye."

I was too nervous to be compassionate towards her. I'll apologise to her later at home.

As soon as I left the car, everyone was staring at me with confused expressions. What's wrong with them? Had they never seen a new student before? Then all of a sudden, the atmosphere changed. It's like everyone realised what they were supposed to do there then started laughing. Cruel cold laughter was the only sound that could be heard within a mile. This didn't help with my nerves. Grey clouds appeared in the sky out of no where, masking the sunshine that was previously there. That's when the pointing started and shoes started dropping from the sky. This made no sense, raining shoes? How is that even possible? But they didn't seem to be hitting anyone. People then decided to throw things at me. What in the world has gotten into these people? Mostly the objects they threw missed me but then someone threw this fury handbag at me and hit me in the face. I tried pulling it off but it wouldn't come off! What is this place?

I opened my eyes to find my cat, Muffy, resting on the lower half of my face. I tried shouting at him to get off, but my words came out as muffled. Now I know what you're all wondering, Muffy, really? Really Sarah? Why would you call your cat that? Well I got him when I was 5 as my birthday present, and his fur was extremely long and needed to be cut but he looked fluffy to me and my favourite thing back then were muffins, so I wanted a combination of both to name my favourite kind of animal. Thank god that was only a dream; strange, like all dreams were. Well I guess it's time then. Time to get ready for the first day at my new school.

Introductions

Hey there.

I like your hair ;)

Who does your hair?

I wanna go there.

Kidding! So we're four girls talking about our lives, and in case you're wondering, quatre vivres means four lives; which is us, four girls writing this blog.

There are four main characters which are Sarah, Yasmeen, Lulu and Farah. We don't even need to describe how we look like, cause we're typical kuwaiti brunettes with normal heights for our age.

We're currently about to start our second year in high school but we're not going to say any more than that cause we don't want to give out any spoilers.

So get ready to read the first chapter and we hope you'll enjoy it.

Now, BYE KEEKERS!
